 | Pharmacies are rated as having the highest rate of armed robbery versus any other retail industry type, with almost 10% of all pharmacies falling victim to armed robbery, the same amount of armed robberies suffered by liquor outlets. | | | |  | This is also true for unarmed robberies, which demonstrates the perceptual position of the criminals that attack such businesses. | | | |  | Pharmacies are also seen to have the second highest rate of unarmed robbery, coupled with the second highest rate of experiencing any crime, with more than 60% of all pharmacies falling victim to a retail crime. | | | |  | Pharmacies are rated as having the third highest incidences of Burglary, shoplifting, credit card and cheque fraud as well as assaults and threats and employee fraud. | | | |  | More than a third of all pharmacies have experienced incidents of shoplifting, with almost 30% of all pharmacies also falling victim to burglary. | | | |  | In terms of repeat crimes, 16% of pharmacies have experienced more than one count of burglary, while nearly a third (31%) of all pharmacies have experienced more than one incident of shoplifting. | | | |  | Pharmacies suffered 16% of all shoplifting incidents and experienced 1 out of every 8 retail crimes. |
